Why is 2048 popular? It’s fun because:

1. Rules simple and clear enough to get at a glance
2. Nice and simple layout
3. Vivid feeling of progress/upgrade
4. Progress depends on pattern recognition of the player as much as on randomness, thus–
5. Gives player a false sense of control while in fact randomly swiping the screen yields decent scores as well, though might not be high

• Just line them backwards and forwards, like a “S”, so when there’s a double to clear it could be cleared all the way to the largest number
